SHORTCancel your anniversary dinner and babysit my kids

This happened last weekend A friend of mine messaged me last minute asking if I could babysit her three kids ages 2, 5, and 7 on Saturday evening. She said she had a very important date and her regular sitter bailed.

Now, I love kids, and I’ve helped her out before but this was my wedding anniversary. My husband and I had reservations at this super nice restaurant we’ve been saving for months to go to. I told her, Sorry, I can’t this weekend. It’s our anniversary and we have plans.

She replies and asked if I couldn't reschedule our dinner? It’s not like it’s a wedding or something. She said.

I told her it's a special day for us, and we’ve had this planned forever. I’m really sorry, but I can’t.

She then sends a whole rant about how I’m being selfish, that I don’t even have kids so I wouldn’t understand and how people like me always pretend to be nice but never show up when it really counts.

Like… ma’am. You want me to cancel my anniversary to watch your children for free because your sitter flaked?

Blocked her for the weekend. Happy anniversary to me.

General DiscussionCanceling Paramount+ (and why you should, too)

I think we all know by now that CBS is not a good company, I didn't need them canceling Colbert to tell me that. But I think it is time to stand up for ourselves as a community, even if it means not watching Drag Race or All Stars. We don't have to live in a world where our favorite shows are aired on networks owned by fascists and bigots, but it means taking just the slightest bit of collective action. I fear we have all (including myself) became too complacent because we feel like we don't have a choice, but we do! These companies have no morals, and we do not owe them anything just because they air our favorite queer reality show. They sure as shit aren't doing it from the goodness of their hearts. Paramount would drop RuPaul at the drop of a dime if the Fascist-In-Chief told them to!!!!!

We deserve better!!!!!!!!!

[PWInsider] In a major blow to company morale, WWE employees were informed this afternoon that going forward they will honor TKO policy and receive two weeks worth of severance pay for every year they worked for the company, as opposed to a month's pay in the old WWE severance policy.

WWE Employees were informed via a memo this afternoon that a new severance policy has been installed going forward, effective immediately.

Going forward, the old WWE severance policy of employees receiving a month for every year they worked for the company is no more.

The company will now honor a TKO policy of two weeks worth of severance pay for every year an employee worked for the company.

We are also told there are additional caps on the policy based on management level but have not heard particulars on that.

Needless to say (and quite understandably), this was a major blow to company morale among employees, especially since so many are now tasked with responsibilities among WWE, UFC and PBR, as opposed to just on WWE as they had been prior to Vince McMahon selling the company.
