❤️‍🩹 relationshipaio or is this guy i’m seeing rude??

we have known each other for about 2 months and we have been on three dates, I’m honestly confused why he is bothered by this😭 I know this is a stupid situation but am i overreacting for thinking he’s being rude about this? I don’t send him pictures of my dogs every hour, that was an extreme over exaggeration

SMy daughter thinks she’s entitled to my retirement money

I 55F have been a single mom most of my life. I worked multiple jobs, sacrificed vacations, and skipped luxuries just to give my daughter (now 26F) a decent life. She had everything she needed growing up private school, a used car at 18, even partial support through college. I never asked for much in return, just for her to be responsible and independent.

Lately, she’s been pressuring me about my retirement savings. She found out I have been aggressively saving for the past 10 years so I can retire early and travel, maybe finally enjoy my life a little. Her response? “You should use that money to help me get a house.”

I told her kindly but firmly that I have already done my job as a parent. I’m not rich I just planned well. And honestly, I deserve some peace.

She snapped and said, “So you’re just going to be selfish now? After everything I went through growing up?”

I told her I’m the one who went through hell to raise her with stability.

Now she’s been giving me the cold shoulder and telling other relatives that I’m “hoarding money” while she struggles with rent.

TIL that in Japan, it is common practice among married couples for the woman to fully control the couple's finances. The husbands' hand over their monthly pay and receive an allowance from their wives.

If I get too old to work and then don't have savings, I'm basically dead right?

This is in the US.

The way it seems is that I'll work until I'm 70 or whatever and then once I've lost the ability to work... then what? If I don't have any retirement or savings, I'm only getting SS which isn't even enough to cover rent on a small efficiency apartment. Plus I don't think SS will he around when I'm older in all reality.

So, in that case, do I just starve and die? I don't plan on having kids so it'll just be me.

Edit: I'm not asking the best way to save, how to retire, etc. I'm asking if I become to old to work and have no savings, will I be left to die?

Edit 2: Guys, I'm really not a very smart person. I'm not trying to make anyone take care of me, or make myself the victim, or whatever. I'm just asking a question.
